On our project of recycling, we have started some work on 2d flip art, where we are given a random book, to make some 2d art out of. The 2d art we make should have a link between the title of the story. To make the book stronger, we stuck some pages together, then we drew onto the book what we wanted to flip out. As simple as it seems, all we had to do, was using a special sharp knife, we had to cut out our 2d shape, and just flip it out.
This is the book that I am using (its called People and Organizations).
There wasn't much to create out of this title. So I looked at the blurb, but that didn't really help much either.
This was my plan (You can't see it very well):
This was my plan that I had set out to explore my ideas.
In this next picture, I drew out what I wanted to flip out:
In the end, I had decided to made 2D flip art of 2 men and a house, as it does have something to do with the title ... 'People and organisations.''
After I drew it on, I cut some of it out, so it could flip up:
I found my final outcome OK, but I know I could have done better. However, I am happy that I have made a 2D flip art piece. Unfortunately, I could not make it up to a very good standard, like other artists.

Recycling Books Project.
In our year 9 art class, we are mean't to do a project on recycling books. We will need to make a piece of artwork just made out of books. On my way of making my project, I have researched some artists whose art have inspired me.
Some artwork by Tom Phillips:
Here is artwork by an artist called Sachiyo Yoshida:
Is piece of work is unnamed. It looks like it took a lot of time and patience to make.
This is also unnamed. This piece of artwork looks like some pieces of paper, perhaps from the newspaper or a book were ripped out in strips, to make this.
Here is some artwork by and artist named Georgia Russel:
This picture and the next are very similar, the piece is both unnamed.
For both pieces, It seems like a book has been used, and the paper inside the book has been cut in to many pieces of strips creating an explosion of paper coming out of the book.
